At a time when bullying and innexcusable behavior is prevalent among our youth, Marla Michele Must, a local photographer, is working to encourage self-esteem, inclusiveness and kindness among tween-agers through a project aptly named, “Random Acts of Enchantment”. Marla's studio, Enchanted Photography, does not condone exclusion, mean behavior, bullying or exclusivity. Tweens can sign up through Instagram and Marla provides a group photo experience in which they will participate in an empowering, confidence building portrait session where they can shine individually as well as within a group. It is a goal of Random Acts of Enchantment to create a Tween Revolution beginning in Metro Detroit and beyond, paying forward kindness and positive attitudes toward others. There is no charge for the photo experience; however, in exchange, each tween is encouraged to perform a Random Act of Enchantment (kindness) to someone at school who they might not otherwise have had an opportunity to help and they are encouraged to comment back about it on her site @EnchantedPhotographyMichigan with the hash tag #RandomActsOf Enchantment. The project is ongoing and will continue indefinitely.
